With long extreme summers, and cold wet winters, what makes Quinta do Casal da Coelheira so special is the Iberian Tagus river, the floods and the climate influence. |
|
As an independent winegrower, Casal da Coelheira only makes wines with its own grapes, controlling all stages of the process, from the vineyard to the finished bottles. The winery at Tramagal is a Portuguese traditional facility with a combination of timeless architecture and massive white and yellow walls. Winemaking history in Ribatejo Province (which means "banks of the Tejo") dates back to 1170 when the quality wines were well appreciated by the first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques. |
