This grape variety is only found in the demarcated region of Colares. Its maritime surroundings make it a mineral wine, with aromas of sea air and iodine. In the mouth it is fresh, with notes of salt, dry texture and Atlantic acidity. This variety produces low alcohol, aromatic wines with some tannin content. Good aging potential. The variety prefers deep, well-drained soils. Very hot terrain should be avoided. It also withstands wind quite well but not rain.
